Sunday Night’s Main Event took place at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The event aired on Peacock in the United States. It was also available on YouTube in most international markets. This was the first edition held on a Sunday during Labour Day weekend.
The date was originally planned for Money in the Bank. WWE later moved Money in the Bank to October 10. The event remained scheduled for New Orleans.
The show featured Lil Yachty’s in-ring debut. Quavo also performed “Backwards” during the event. The song was unreleased and came from his upcoming album QROMELIFE.

Baron Corbin vs Lil Yachty (Five Minute Challenge)
Baron Corbin faced Lil Yachty in a five-minute challenge. Yachty needed to survive the full five minutes to earn Trick Williams a United States Championship match. Yachty tried to avoid Corbin and run down the clock. Corbin chased him around the arena and attacked his friends when they interfered. Yachty later hit Corbin with the Trick Stick and kendo stick shots.
Corbin hit Yachty with End of Days with about 90 seconds remaining. He then set up a table and prepared to put Yachty through it. The time expired before Corbin could stop him. Lil Yachty won by surviving the five-minute time limit, earning Trick Williams a United States Championship match. After the match, Corbin put Yachty through a table.
Baron Corbin (c) vs Trick Williams (WWE Men’s United States Championship)
Trick Williams challenged Baron Corbin for the United States Championship after surviving the five-minute challenge. Corbin attacked Trick early and also threw Lil Yachty into the barricade. Corbin tried using the championship belt while the referee dealt with Yachty. Yachty grabbed the other end of the belt and stopped him from bringing it into the ring. Corbin eventually got the belt but walked into Cyclone Kill.
Corbin then hit Trick with the title belt. Trick survived and countered an End of Days attempt before hitting Trick Shot. Trick Williams won by pinfall and became the new WWE Men’s United States Champion. After the match, Trick and Lil Yachty celebrated on the announce desk as pyro went off.
Bron Breakker vs Oba Femi
Bron Breakker and Oba Femi had a physical battle from the opening bell. Both men traded power moves before Femi took control and sent Bron outside. Bron fought back with a diving lariat over the announce desk. He then hit Femi with a lariat and worked over him with a sleeper and German suplex.
Femi later fired back with multiple lariats, big boots, and a chokeslam. The match became chaotic when Austin Theory and Logan Paul got involved. Maxxine Dupri then gave Bron brass knuckles, but Femi avoided the attack. Oba hit Bron with a tossing slam. Big Bronson Reed then attacked Femi with a steel chair.
Oba Femi won by disqualification. After the match, Bronson Reed continued attacking Femi with chair shots. He then hit multiple 747 Splashes while Bron Breakker joined the assault with several spears. Adam Pearce and officials came out to stop the attack, but Reed hit another 747 Splash.
Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, & Tatum Paxley vs Jade Cargill & the Baddies (B-FAB & “Michin” Mia Yim)
Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, and Tatum Paxley faced Jade Cargill, B-FAB, and Michin. Tatum started strongly before Jade and her team took control. Alexa later entered and hit several quick moves. The Baddies then isolated her with frequent tags.
Charlotte continued attacking until Jade stopped her momentum. Tatum broke up a powerbomb attempt and helped Charlotte fight back. Charlotte later hit a moonsault on both B-FAB and Jade, but Jade kicked out.
The match became chaotic as all six women traded attacks. Jade eventually caught Charlotte in a double chickenwing and hit Jaded. Jade Cargill and the Baddies won by pinfall.
“American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton
Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton started fighting before the bell. They brawled through the crowd and used trash cans before returning to ringside. Orton then threw Cody into the steel steps. Once the match officially started, Cody hit a Cody Cutter and applied a Figure Four. Orton fought back and controlled Cody with several holds and heavy attacks.
Cody later fought back with a snap powerslam, Bionic Elbow, and Cross Rhodes. Orton answered with a hanging DDT and nearly hit an RKO, but Cody kept countering. The match became chaotic after the referee was knocked down. Cody attacked Orton with the steel steps and hit two Cross Rhodes.
Cody then stopped himself from attacking a seemingly helpless Orton. Randy used the opening to attack Cody and the referee before hitting an RKO. Randy Orton won by pinfall with the RKO.
