Here’s how much Vaibhav Suryavanshi earned after a record-breaking IPL 2026 season

IPL 2026 concluded with Royal Challengers Bengaluru successfully defending their crown and lifting the trophy for the second consecutive year. While RCB celebrated another historic triumph, one of the biggest stories of the tournament belonged to Rajasthan Royals’ teenage sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi, whose extraordinary campaign not only earned him multiple awards but also a handsome financial reward.

Notably, RCB ended IPL 2026 on a high by defeating Gujarat Titans in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The victory secured RCB’s second IPL championship and cemented their status as one of the dominant teams of the season.

The Bengaluru franchise delivered consistent performances throughout the tournament and once again rose to the occasion when it mattered most. Their title-winning campaign was celebrated by thousands of fans, while several individual stars from across the league were honoured during the post-match presentation ceremony.

Although Rajasthan Royals could not make it to the final, their young batting sensation Suryavanshi remained one of the most talked-about players of the season and was among the major award winners on the night.

At just 15 years of age, Suryavanshi produced a season that exceeded even the most optimistic expectations. The left-handed opener emerged as the highest run-scorer of IPL 2026, collecting a remarkable 776 runs and finishing with the coveted Orange Cap. What made his performances even more special was the fearless manner in which he attacked some of the world’s best bowlers. His explosive strokeplay, consistency at the top of the order and ability to dominate bowling attacks made him one of the standout performers of the tournament.

Suryavanshi’s brilliant campaign earned him a clean sweep of several major individual honours. He was named the Most Valuable Player of the Season, Emerging Player of the Season and Super Striker of the Season. He also collected the Super Sixes award after smashing an incredible 72 sixes during the tournament.

Having been purchased by Rajasthan Royals for ₹1.10 crore at the mega auction before last season, the youngster proved to be one of the best investments in the competition.

Here’s how much Suryavanshi earned in IPL 2026

While his annual contract with Rajasthan Royals remained ₹1.10 crore, Suryavanshi significantly boosted his earnings through match fees and award money.

The teenager received ₹15 lakh for winning the Most Valuable Player award. He also pocketed ₹10 lakh each for winning the Orange Cap, Emerging Player of the Season, Super Striker of the Season and Super Sixes of the Season. In addition to the cash prize, the Super Striker award also came with a Tata Sierra.

Suryavanshi further benefited from the IPL’s match-fee structure. With Rajasthan Royals playing 16 matches during the season, he earned ₹1.20 crore through match fees alone at ₹7.5 lakh per appearance.

His earnings were also supplemented by several match-day awards, including honours such as Electric Striker of the Match and Most Sixes of the Match, which carried additional cash rewards.

When all earnings are combined, Suryavanshi’s total income from IPL 2026 comfortably crossed the ₹2.50 crore mark. For a teenager playing only his second season in the league, it was a reward that reflected both his exceptional talent and his unforgettable impact on the tournament.
