Sami fired back by reminding Roman that his WrestleMania match against Knoxville remained memorable. He also demanded respect as WWE Champion. Roman dismissed Sami’s achievements and promised to end his title reign before demanding that Brooklyn acknowledge him.

Gable also locked him in the ankle lock several times, but Page managed to escape. Both men survived multiple finishing moves, including Gable’s Chaos Theory and Page’s Twisted Grin. Gable later hit a Tenryu Powerbomb and returned to the ankle lock, but Page escaped by sending him into the exposed turnbuckle. He then connected with the Ego-Plex to secure the pinfall and win the championship.
