WWE NXT took place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The show continued the build toward Halloween Havoc.
Mason Rook, Saquon Shugars, and Tony D’Angelo faced each other in a No. 1 contender’s match. The winner earned a future NXT Championship opportunity against Grayson Waller. Mason Rook won the match and became the new No. 1 contender.
Dorian Van Dux and Sean Legacy faced DarkState in tag team action. Lizzy Rain also faced Kali Armstrong. Myles Borne was scheduled to apologise to Tavion Heights. The segment instead ended with Borne attacking his former tag team partner.

Kali Armstrong vs Lizzy Rain
Kali Armstrong defeated Lizzy Rain in a competitive singles match. Armstrong used her power early with bodyslams and a judo throw, but Rain answered with a springboard back elbow, fisherman suplex and spinning wheel kick. After the break, Armstrong hit a spinebuster and pumphandle suplex.
Rain later countered a bodyslam with an avalanche Frankensteiner and stopped Armstrong’s charging attack with a leaping headbutt. Armstrong fought back and hit the Kali Connection for the pinfall victory. After the match, Skylar Raye attacked Armstrong. Officials quickly separated the two wrestlers.
DarkState (Cutler James & Osiris Griffin) vs Dorian Van Dux & Sean Legacy
DarkState defeated Dorian Van Dux and Sean Legacy in a fast-paced tag team match. Cutler James and Sean Legacy started the contest, with James using his power to control the early action. Legacy fought back and tagged in Van Dux, allowing the babyfaces to hit double-team moves and stereo moonsaults.
After the break, Van Dux gained momentum with a missile dropkick, Frankensteiner and diving double Ace Crusher. DarkState survived several attacks, including a diving shooting star press that Cutler broke up. Dion Lennox then attacked Van Dux with a lariat, giving DarkState control. James and Griffin finished Van Dux with a double Blue Thunder Driver for the pinfall victory.
Myles Borne Betrays Tavion Heights Again
Myles Borne asked Tavion Heights to meet him in the ring for a face-to-face conversation. Borne admitted that he acted out of fear after losing both titles and apologised for attacking his former friend. Heights said he accepted the apology but still remembered how Borne betrayed him after his own title loss.
Borne compared their situations and asked Heights to forgive him so they could start again. Heights finally agreed, and the two hugged as Borne called him his dog for life. However, Borne suddenly attacked Heights with punches and threw him through the barricade. He then used a chair to injure Heights’ ankle.
Cruz Montana & EK Prosper vs Swipe Right (Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes)
Cruz Montana and EK Prosper faced Swipe Right in a fast-paced tag team match. Montana and Prosper controlled the early action with quick tags and double-team moves. Swipe Right later isolated Montana and hit a dropkick and spinebuster combination. Prosper eventually received the hot tag and cleared the ring, hitting a superkick and quebrada.
Montana and Prosper nearly finished the match with a double-team move, but Brad Baylor broke up the pin. Jackson Drake then attacked Montana with a Busaiku Knee and was ejected from ringside. Swipe Right took advantage of the distraction, with Baylor grabbing Prosper’s feet while Ricky Smokes rolled him up. Swipe Right won by pinfall with a double-team backslide.
Zaria and Thea Hail Clash in Four-Way Brawl
Kelani Jordan celebrated retaining the NXT Women’s Championship and said nobody in the locker room was ready to challenge her. She then welcomed AAA Reina de Reinas Champion La Catalina, who said she wanted to take women’s wrestling to the next level. Zaria interrupted and said she should be part of any conversation about dominant champions.
Thea Hail then joined them and reminded everyone that she had previously made Zaria tap out. Zaria responded by attacking Hail, leading to a brawl between all four women. Jordan and Catalina eventually worked together to send Zaria and Hail out of the ring. Catalina and Hail then celebrated together.
Mason Rook vs Saquon Shugars vs Tony D’Angelo (NXT Championship #1 Contender’s Match)
Mason Rook, Saquon Shugars and Tony D’Angelo battled for a shot at the NXT Championship. All three wrestlers traded control throughout the match, with D’Angelo using his power to hit German suplexes on both opponents. Rook and Shugars also delivered several big moves, including a Tower of Doom spot.
Later, Tristan Angels interfered and pulled the referee away from a pin after Shugars hit an imploding frog splash on D’Angelo. Shugars took Angels out with a plancha, allowing the match to continue. Rook then hit D’Angelo with a tossing Blue Thunder Driver before finishing him with a 747 Splash. Rook won and became the #1 contender.
