Jitesh Sharma Takes A Brilliant Catch RCB Vs CSK: Royal Challengers Bengaluru wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma has taken an absolute blinder to dismiss Chennai Super Kings batter Shivam Dube in tonight’s game of the Indian Premier League.
The RCB Vs CSK game is Match 11 of IPL 2026. It is being played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, and the away team won the toss and decided to bat first.
That was a terrible decision on the part of the Super Kings captain, Ruturaj Gaikwad. The Royal Challengers dominated all portions of their inning. The openers fired; the scoreboard chugged along in the middle overs, and the pair of Tim David and captain Rajat Patidar went berserk in the death.
RCB ended their allotted 20 overs with a mammoth score of 250/3. Four out of the five batters scored over 40 runs, and the fifth was Virat Kohli, who too had a decent outing with the bat.

Chasing such a humongous target, Chennai immediately lost the plot. Captain Gaikwad was dismissed in the first over for seven off three, Ayush Mhatre departed for one in the next over, while Sanju Samson lost his wicket for nine off five in the third over.
Despite these wickets, CSK raced to 77 runs in the powerplay, thanks to a 24-ball 50 by Sarfaraz Khan, who got out on the first ball of the seventh over. Kartik Sharma was dismissed later in that over for six off three; the five-time champions were reeling at 84/5.
Now looking to save face and avoid a humiliating defeat, CSK had to try to reach at least the 200-run mark. To reach their target, the pair of Shivam Dube and Prashant Veer, who formed the sixth-wicket partnership, had to stay on the pitch for a while and score some runs.
The 10th over of the innings was bowled by pacer Abhinanda Singh, who was playing his second IPL match tonight.
On the fifth ball of the over, Dube, who was batting at 18 runs in 12 balls and had hit a couple of boundaries, tried to heave a ball that was on the fifth stump line towards deep mid-wicket. The ball instead took the bottom edge of the bat.
Here is where magic happened. As the plan for Abhinandan was to bowl a wicket line, wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma was standing quite wide on the off side. As the ball edged the bat, it veered towards Jitesh’s right and would have raced towards fine leg.
However, the 32-year-old made a full-extent dive, put his hand under the ball that was falling a little short of him, and scooped it right up. While the keeper did not make much of an appeal, the bowler did, and the umpire gave the out signal.

While CSK went on to cross the 200-run mark, getting all out for 207, they still lost the match by 43 runs, losing their third game in a row in IPL 2026.
