Australia’s all-format all-rounder Cameron Green will be up for grabs in the upcoming IPL auction 2026. A bidding war is set to ensue for Green in the mini-auction, starting from his base price of INR 2 crore.
Green is among the 45 players who have listed themselves in the highest base price bracket, which is INR 2 crore, for this month’s mini auction.
The BCCI has shared a long list of 1355 players with the IPL franchises. The list will be cut down to around 400 players after receiving inputs from all 10 IPL teams.
After all 10 franchises announced their retained players’ lists, a total of 77 slots remain to be filled, given the maximum size of a squad could be 25 players. Of these 77 slots, a maximum of 31 can be filled with overseas.
One of them will certainly be Cameron Green, who missed the IPL 2025 due to a back injury. Green had previously had successful seasons with the Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Green’s compatriots Steve Smith and Josh Inglis have also placed themselves in the INR 2 crore bracket for the IPL 2026 mini auction.
The biggest names who have opted out of the IPL 2026 auction are Glenn Maxwell, Moeen Ali, and Faf du Plessis.
