List Of Bowlers To Take 100 Wickets In All Three Formats Of International Cricket Ft. Jasprit Bumrah

To take 100 wickets in a single format of international cricket is a terrific achievement, and it shows the bowler’s command of that particular form of the game. To do it in two formats is outstanding, reflecting on the bowler’s endurance to thrive in multiple facets.

And to achieve a haul of 100-plus wickets in all three formats of international cricket is simply incredible. Very, very few bowlers in the history of cricket have done the triple of taking over a century of scalps across all formats. Doing so requires a great deal of adaptability, consistency, fitness, and longevity.

Let us see the bowlers who have claimed 100 wickets in each of the three international formats.

List Of Bowlers To Take 100 Wickets In All Three Formats Of International Cricket

Lasith Malinga

The slingy-actioned legendary Sri Lankan pacer, Lasith Malinga is his country’s third-highest international wicket-taker with 546 wickets taken in a 16-year career.

Malinga took 338 ODI wickets, 107 T20I wickets, and 101 Test wickets despite injury issues that forced him to only a 30-Test career.

Malinga was part of the Sri Lankan XI that lost a string of ICC finals from 2007 to 2011, but eventually he did win the ICC T20 World Cup 2014.

Tim Southee

New Zealand’s all-time leading wicket-taker in international cricket, Tim Southee’s international career spanned from 2008 to 2024 wherein he recorded 776 wickets with 20 five-wicket innings hauls.

Southee finished with 391 Test wickets, 221 ODI wickets, and 164 T20I wickets. Until recently, he was the all-time T20I leading wicket-taker before Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan eclipsed him.

Southee won one ICC trophy with New Zealand, the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23.

Shakib Al Hasan

Unarguably Bangladesh’s greatest ever cricketer, Shakib Al Hasan won matches for his country with both bat and ball. Shakib bagged 712 wickets in international cricket; no other Bangladesh bowler has managed even 400 yet.

Shakib’s wickets tally included 246 in Tests, 317 in ODIs, 149 in T20Is, and 25 five-wicket innings hauls.

Shaheen Afridi

Left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Afridi is the only Pakistani on this list of bowlers with 100 wickets in all three formats of international cricket.

Shaheen, who made his debut in 2018, has so far attained 382 international wickets, distributed almost evenly among the three formats: 121 in Tests, 135 in ODIs, and 126 in T20Is. He’s taken 7 five-fers hitherto.

Jasprit Bumrah

Hailed as the best all-format fast bowler by many, Jasprit Bumrah is the first and so far only Indian bowler to take 100 wickets in each of the three forms of international cricket.

Bumrah, who made his India debut in 2016, has dismissed 484 batsmen so far at the international level. His wicket tally according to the formats is 234 wickets in Test cricket, 149 in ODIs, and 101 in T20Is.

Bumrah has registered 18 five-wicket hauls in international cricket, and his average of 20.55 remains unbelievably low for a bowler who has played so many matches and across formats.
