Jonny Bairstow is a wicketkeeper-batter who represents England in every format. He plays for Welsh Fire in The Hundred and Yorkshire in domestic cricket. He played for the England team, which won the Cricket World Cup in 2019.

Jonny Bairstow’s Personal Life

Jonny Bairstow has spoken openly about his father’s death and how it shaped his life and career. His father, David Bairstow (nicknamed Bluey), died by suicide when Jonny was around eight years old. Since then, he has carried the emotional weight of that loss while building his cricket career.

Jonny became very close to his mother, Janet, and sister, Becky. He once said he felt responsible for helping support his family and even tried to step into a father-like role at home. He is very protective of his mother, who worked as an administrator with the Yorkshire County Cricket Club.
