Navneet Dhaliwal is an Indian-born cricketer who played for the Canada national cricket team and also served as captain. He made his List A debut for Canada against the Netherlands on 17 January 2015 in the ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament.
Dhaliwal made his T20I debut against the Cayman Islands on 18 August 2019 and later scored 140 off 94 balls against Malaysia in September 2019. He was selected for Canada’s squad in the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. In 2025, he also played in the North American Cup and the USA Tri-Nation Series.

Navneet Dhaliwal’s Personal Life
Navneet Dhaliwal was born in Chandigarh in 1988. He said he started professional cricket coaching a little late and trained at the Mohali Cricket Association. His coach was Tinku.
He is married to Raj Chandep Kar. She said they were in the same school but did not talk much then, and later met through common friends. She described him as chilled out normally, but completely different when it comes to cricket because he becomes very focused and dedicated.
Dhaliwal moved to Canada after his father bought a business there. His mother strongly supported him and pushed him to explore cricket seriously so he would not have regrets later. His wife also said his mother helps keep him grounded during both highs and lows.
His wife said he is a big foodie and loves home-cooked food, especially his mother’s food. She said the biggest adjustment for him after moving from India to Canada was food.
Dhaliwal said cricket is in his blood, and it is hard for him to switch off. His wife said he keeps bats around the house, watches cricket content constantly, and even practices shots during normal conversations.
He also spoke about his daily life in Canada, balancing work and parenting. He drops his child off at daycare, works, practices cricket, picks up his child, and then returns to work. His wife said he is a very present father, and their son is very attached to him.
