ISL 2026 Schedule: The Indian Super League 2025–26 season is the 12th ISL season. It is also the 30th top-level football season in India. It started on 14 February 2026 and will end on 17 May 2026. A total of 91 matches will be played in this time.

Mohun Bagan Super Giant are the defending champions. They won their second ISL title last season and also added their seventh national title in the previous season.

This season has a big format change. There are no ISL Cup playoffs anymore. All 14 clubs play only one round against each other, meaning each team plays 13 matches. At the end of the league stage, the team finishing top of the table will become the champions.

ISL 2026 Teams: Which Teams are Playing in ISL 2026?

Mohun Bagan Super Giant (Kolkata) is one of the oldest clubs in Asia, founded in 1889. It became famous after beating a British team in 1911. The modern team is a merger of Mohun Bagan and ATK. East Bengal FC (Kolkata) have a huge fan following. It started in 1920 after fans left a match in protest. This derby is one of the biggest in Indian football.

Bengaluru FC (Bengaluru) is a modern and very successful club since 2013. It won the I-League in its first season and quickly became one of the most stable teams in India. Kerala Blasters FC (Kochi) is famous for its massive fan support. The “Yellow Army” creates one of the loudest stadium atmospheres in Asia, even though the team is still searching for its first ISL title.

Mumbai City FC (Mumbai) is part of the City Football Group, the same group that owns Manchester City. It became the first team to win both the league shield and ISL Cup in the same season (2020–21). FC Goa (Goa) is known for attacking football and scoring many goals. It is also the first Indian club to reach the AFC Champions League group stage.

ISL 2026 Captains: Who are the Captains in ISL 2026?

ISL 2026 captains: Mohun Bagan SG is captained by Subhasish Bose. He is a defender who has been with the club since 2020. East Bengal FC captain is Saúl Crespo, who plays in midfield. Bengaluru FC is captained by Sunil Chhetri, one of India’s most famous footballers and a veteran forward.

Kerala Blasters FC captain is Bikash Yumnam, a young defender who also leads India’s U-23 team. Mumbai City FC is led by Lallianzuala Chhangte, an attacking winger. FC Goa captain is Sandesh Jhingan, one of India’s top defenders.

SC Delhi is led by Lamgoulen Gou Hangshing, while Odisha FC captain is Carlos Delgado from Spain. NorthEast United FC is captained by Míchel Zabaco, also from Spain.

Punjab FC uses a leadership group with Nikhil Prabhu, Dani Ramirez, Khaimingthang Lhungdim, and Muhammad Suhail F. Inter Kashi FC is led by Sumeet Passi, and Mohammedan SC captain is Dinesh Meitei.

The ISL 2026 live streaming will be shown on TV and online through different platforms. On television, the matches will be on the Sony Sports Network.

For live streaming, the matches will be available on FanCode and its website. FanCode is the main digital platform for this season and will stream every match. TV broadcast details are still being finalized through sub-licensing. But Sony Sports is confirmed as the main TV partner for now.
