U19 World Cup Format
The U19 World Cup has 16 teams divided into four groups. From each group, the top three teams move to the Super Six stage. The teams that finish fourth do not qualify for Super Six. The fourth team from Group A plays the fourth team from Group D, and the fourth team from Group B plays the fourth team from Group C in the placement stage.
In the Super Six stage, the top three teams from Group A and Group D are placed together in one Super Six group. The top three teams from Group B and Group C are placed together in the other Super Six group. Teams carry forward the points, wins, and net run rate earned against the other teams that also qualified for Super Six. Each team then plays two more matches against teams from the paired group that finished in different group positions. This means every team is judged in the Super Six based on four total match results.
The top two teams from each Super Six group qualify for the semi-finals.
