The WPL 2026 is the fourth season of the tournament. It will be played from January 9 to February 5, 2026. Five teams will compete for the title.
The participating teams are the Mumbai Indians, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the Delhi Capitals, the UP Warriorz, and the Gujarat Giants.
The WPL matches will be played at two venues in India. These are the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai and the BCA Stadium in Vadodara.
WPL 2026 matches will be held in two time slots. Afternoon matches will start at 3:30 PM IST. Evening matches will start at 7:30 PM IST.
The Mumbai Indians will enter the season as defending champions. All five teams changed their squads during the mega auction held in New Delhi on November 27, 2025.
The captains for 2026 WPL are Harmanpreet Kaur for the Mumbai Indians, Smriti Mandhana for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Jemimah Rodrigues for the Delhi Capitals, Meg Lanning for the UP Warriorz, and Ashleigh Gardner for the Gujarat Giants.
