WWE SmackDown Highlights
Cody Rhodes, Jacob Fatu, and Drew McIntyre Confrontation
Cody Rhodes came out and barely had time to ask the crowd what they wanted to talk about before Jacob Fatu interrupted him. Fatu said he would’ve won at Elimination Chamber if it wasn’t for Drew McIntyre. He claimed he had Cody and Sami Zayn beat and blamed Drew for costing him. Fatu then called Drew out, saying he wanted to fight him right there.
Nick Aldis came out and said Drew had the night off to avoid any risks before Elimination Chamber. He tried to calm things down and asked Fatu to talk backstage.
Drew McIntyre then appeared in a skybox, saying as champion he does what he wants. He mocked Fatu, calling him all bark and no bite. Fatu tried to get to him but was stopped by security. Aldis warned Jacob about getting suspended. As Drew bragged about being champion, Cody said people aren’t chasing him because he’s champ, but because he’s an asshole.
Ilja Dragunov vs Tama Tonga
Ilja Dragunov fought hard with early strikes and big German suplexes, but Tama Tonga kept fighting back with power moves and outside interference from JC Mateo and Tonga Loa. Both men traded heavy elbows and lariats until they were exhausted on the mat. Dragunov almost won with the Constantine Special, but Tonga kept escaping and slowing the pace.
Late in the match, Tonga used distractions and a cheap schoolboy roll-up with tights to win. After the match, Solo Sikoa came out with his group and warned everyone he’s taking control. When Dragunov tried to attack him, the numbers advantage took over, and Tonga Loa finished Dragunov with a chokeslam.
Charlotte Flair vs Nia Jax vs Kiana James
Charlotte Flair tried to control early by using Kiana James to attack Nia Jax, but Jax used her size and power to stay dominant. James tried to team up with Flair, but it didn’t last long. Flair came alive later with big chops, a crossbody, and even a Spanish Fly off the top rope, but James kept surviving. Nia stayed dangerous with Samoan Drops and heavy offense.
The finish came when Flair tried to lock in her figure four, but Jax broke it up. While all three were down, Kiana surprised Flair with a quick crucifix pin and stole the win to qualify for the Elimination Chamber.
Kit Wilson vs Oba Femi
Kit Wilson tried to stall by reading poems and complimenting Oba Femi, but it didn’t work. He read an “Ode to Oba Femi,” then a second poem mocking men, which ended with him saying he hated Oba. That made Femi attack. Oba overpowered him with heavy uppercuts, caught a kick, and threw Kit across the ring with power moves. Wilson tried fighting back with a boot, but Femi stayed dominant. The match ended quickly when Oba lifted Kit and finished him with Fall From Grace to win by pinfall. Wilson’s mind games didn’t help once the fight actually started.
Alba Fyre vs Tiffany Stratton
Tiffany Stratton and Alba Fyre went fast and hard. Stratton used quick flips and strikes early, but Fyre fought back with a tornado DDT and gained control briefly. After break, Tiffany hit a back elbow and tried big moves like a Michinoku Driver and Alabama Slam, but Fyre kept kicking out. Fyre tried her KLR Bomb but missed. Chelsea Green distracted Tiffany from ringside, helping Fyre land a dive. But Tiffany recovered, blocked more attacks, caught Fyre’s moves, and finished the match with her Prettiest Moonsault Ever. Stratton won by pinfall and kept control with her high-flying offense.
Carmelo Hayes vs Damian Priest vs Trick Williams
Carmelo Hayes tried to team up with Trick Williams early, but Damian Priest kept overpowering both of them. Priest threw Trick to the floor, hit big power moves on Melo, and almost won after a Broken Arrow. After the break, Hayes hit big aerial moves including a double DDT and tope con giro, but Trick and Priest kept fighting back. Trick hit a Book End and later survived a Razor’s Edge.
The final stretch got wild with all three trading strikes. Trick and Melo started fighting each other while Priest tried to stay in control. Melo hit a Codebreaker, but Priest was stopped from finishing his Razor’s Edge. Trick finished the chaos with back-to-back Trick Shot finishers on Priest to win and qualify for the Elimination Chamber match.
Giulia vs Rhea Ripley
Giulia and Rhea Ripley started with hard striking and rough brawling. Giulia slapped Rhea, tried a chokehold, but Rhea powered out with a turnbuckle smash and a big suplex.
Both women traded big finishers near the end. Giulia hit Arrivederci twice, but Rhea kicked out. Just when the match heated up, Nia Jax and Lash Legend interfered, causing a disqualification. After that, IYO SKY ran in to help Giulia, hitting quick strikes on Legend. Rhea cleared the ring with a lariat, leaving both teams standing tall as the segment ended in chaos.
Aleister Black vs Randy Orton
Aleister Black and Randy Orton started with technical grappling and quick counters. Orton got control early with a headlock and corner punches, then sent Black to the floor. After the break, Black came back stronger, striking hard and slowing Orton down. The fight spilled outside, where Orton hit a hanging DDT. Drew McIntyre suddenly attacked Orton with a title belt. Cody Rhodes chased McIntyre away through the crowd. Black capitalized by hitting Black Mass on Orton for the pinfall win.
