Anushka Sharma Shares Fans Celebrate RCB IPL Win:- Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, wife of superstar cricketer Virat Kohli, has taken to social media to share videos of Kohli holding the IPL trophy inside the Royal Challengers Bengaluru team bus and how the fans are celebrating the team’s maiden league win.
RCB defeated the Punjab Kings in the final of IPL 2025 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This was the Royal Challengers’ fourth final in the Indian Premier League and the first since 2016.
Punjab won the toss and decided to bowl first. In a solid bowling attempt, they stopped RCB for 190/9 in 20 overs on a fine batting track. However, losing wickets at crucial moments, coupled with some poor performances by some of the Kings’ batters, like captain Shreyas Iyer, cost the team the match in the end, as they ended up losing by six wickets.

After 18 years of waiting, RCB’s men’s team won their first trophy ever. While it meant a lot for the team and the fans, many neutrals have also been celebrating the win because of Virat Kohli.
Kohli is the only player who has been playing in the league since the inaugural 2008 season and has spent his entire IPL career with only one team. Virat is not only the highest run scorer in franchise history but also the highest run getter in the history of this competition. For eight years, from 2013 to 2021, he was also the team captain.
Kohli even started sobbing in the final over when it became clear that RCB was going to win the final and their first trophy. And while a lot of credit goes to first-time captain Rajat Patidar, yesterday’s win was mostly about RCB and Virat Kohli winning an IPL title at last.
Earlier today, the team landed at the Bengaluru airport and took a bus ride to the celebrations. While an open-air bus celebration was announced, it was cancelled due to traffic constraints. However, the team’s bus ride was quite special too.

Anushka Sharma posted a video on Instagram stories from inside the team bus. In the video, Virat Kohli can be seen sitting towards the front of the bus with the IPL trophy. The camera then pans to a view outside the bus and shows thousands of fans standing at the side of the road for just a glimpse of their team with the trophy. The caption read,
“Namma Bengaluru current scenes (Our Bengaluru current scenes).”
While Kohli played an underwhelming inning of 43 off 35 in the final against PBKS, he was the highest run scorer for the team in IPL 2025. He made 657 runs in 15 matches at an average of 54.75 and a strike rate of 144.71, finishing third in the race for the Orange Cap.
