Noor Ahmad is an Afghan cricketer who made his international debut for Afghanistan in June 2022. He is a left-arm wristspinner, which is a rare bowling style, and this helped him become popular in franchise T20 leagues at a young age. He made his first-class debut in 2019 when he was only 14 years old.
At 15, Noor signed with Melbourne Renegades, becoming the youngest player in Big Bash League history. After taking 10 wickets in the 2022 Under-19 World Cup, he made his T20I debut against Zimbabwe and won Player of the Match for taking four wickets. Ahmad lives a busy cricket life, constantly traveling for tournaments and leagues. His parents moved from Khost to Kabul to keep up with his schedule. He started serious cricket at 12 after his brother took him to an academy, and encouragement from players like Noor Ali Zadran and later Rashid Khan helped him believe in his talent.
