Akeal Hosein is a Trinidadian spin bowler who plays international cricket for the West Indies. He also plays in franchise cricket for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL and Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League.

Akeal Hosein was born and raised in Laventille, Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. He grew up in a tough environment where crime and gang violence were common.
