The school also established the Kareen Healy Memorial All-Rounder Sports Award, given annually to a Year 11 student who demonstrates commitment, respect, and teamwork. A rowing boat named ‘Kareenypoo’ was launched in her memory, christened by Alyssa, and the family donated a memorial bench overlooking the Principal’s Lawn.

Even after her passing, Kareen’s generosity continued; four adults received her donated organs. Alyssa, who was a student at MLC School when Kareen died, frequently returned to the school to present awards in her sister’s honor and has carried her memory throughout her own sporting career.
