WWE Raw Highlights: Today’s WWE Raw was live from the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee. The road to WrestleMania 42 was heating up, but the main focus was on Elimination Chamber later that month in Chicago.
The show featured more Elimination Chamber qualifying matches. On the men’s side, GUNTHER faced Dominik Mysterio and Je’Von Evans in a triple threat match. On the women’s side, Bayley faced Natalya and Asuka in another triple threat qualifier.
Liv Morgan was also scheduled to address the WWE Universe as she continued deciding which championship she wanted to challenge for at WrestleMania. World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk was set to speak as well, with big matches coming up against Finn Balor and Roman Reigns.
WWE Raw Highlights
LA Knight & the Usos vs the Vision
The Usos came through the crowd, but The Vision were already in the ring with Paul Heyman. Logan Paul bragged about selling a trading card for $16 million and mocked Memphis. Heyman showed footage of the masked man attacking Austin Theory last week. Adam Pearce came out and refused to just hand Bronson Reed a Chamber spot, saying Reed must qualify next week.
LA Knight then interrupted, insulted Logan, and suggested a trios match with the Usos. Pearce made it official. In the match, chaos broke out everywhere. Bronson Reed speared Knight through the barricade and later hit a Tsunami on Jimmy Uso for the win. Afterward, the masked man attacked Logan Paul.
Asuka vs Nattie Neidhart vs Bayley
Asuka, Bayley, and Natalya had a tense triple threat qualifier with all three trading control. Nattie looked strong early, stretching Bayley with a Romero Special, but Asuka broke it up with a dropkick. The match stayed fast and physical, with Bayley landing big offense like a sunset flip powerbomb and multiple elbow drops.
After the break, all three had nearfalls, including Nattie hitting a Liger Bomb and locking in the Sharpshooter, but Bayley saved the match. Bayley nearly won with the Bayley-to-Belly, but Asuka kicked out and kept fighting.
In the final moments, Asuka caught Bayley and locked in the Asuka Lock, forcing Bayley to tap out. Asuka officially qualified for the Elimination Chamber. After the match, Maxxine Dupri attacked Natalya on the stage until the referees separated them.
CM Punk Confronts Finn Balor and Judgment Day
CM Punk came out and said the fans love him, but the office doesn’t, especially Adam Pearce, who thinks Punk is risking the WrestleMania main event against Roman Reigns. Punk said he isn’t ruining anything, he’s making it bigger. He explained Finn Balor got his title match because he earned it, and because Punk wants payback for Balor attacking him and ruining his last chance to share the ring with AJ Styles. Punk called himself the real Best in the World.
Finn Balor then came out with Dominik Mysterio and a returning JD McDonagh. Balor claimed he’s the true Best in the World and promised to beat Punk in Chicago. Punk mocked Judgment Day, saying Finn used to succeed alone and they only drag him down. Punk dared them to attack him, but Balor stopped them, and Punk ended it by throwing the mic at Finn.
Intercontinental Championship Contender’s Match – Penta vs El Grande Americano Nuevo
Penta faced El Grande Americano Nuevo in a #1 contender match for the WWE Men’s Intercontinental Championship. The match started with both men feeling each other out, but Americano quickly got aggressive by cornering Penta and slapping him. Penta fired back with chops and landed a big springboard lariat before the break.
After the commercial, Americano tried to slow things down with a submission, but Penta escaped and hit the Penta Driver. Things got chaotic when Bravo tried to pass Nuevo a steel plate, but he was dragged under the ring. Bravo later got tossed into the announce desk. With everyone distracted, Penta took advantage and hit a flip piledriver to win by pinfall, officially becoming the #1 contender.
AJ Lee and Becky Lynch War of Words
AJ Lee came out and said last week was fun until Becky Lynch smashed her face into the ringpost, reminding her this is serious. She talked about how she hasn’t had a title match in over ten years and said she helped build the women’s division by making the old title matter. She named multiple top stars she wants to face, but said her main focus is Becky. AJ promised that if she wins in Chicago, she’ll go to WrestleMania as Intercontinental Champion.
Becky then entered and mocked AJ, saying this is really her chance to finally give AJ the retirement match she never deserved. Becky said she’s been making history while AJ was making comic books. AJ challenged her to fight right now, but Becky refused, saying she won’t fall for a cheap shot and she “doesn’t fight in Memphis.”
Dominik Mysterio vs Je’Von Evans vs GUNTHER
Dominik Mysterio tried to avoid the fight early, constantly rolling out while GUNTHER and Je’Von Evans battled. GUNTHER dominated with brutal chops and power moves, while Je’Von kept fighting back with quick kicks, dropkicks, and high-flying offense. Dominik used sneaky attacks and even grabbed the timekeeper’s hammer, trying to steal the win.
Near the end, GUNTHER went after Dom outside and grabbed the hammer, but Dragon Lee suddenly jumped in and smashed GUNTHER with the ring bell. That took GUNTHER out of the match. Dom hit a 619 but missed the Frog Splash. Je’Von took advantage and nailed the OG Cutter for the pin.
Je’Von Evans officially qualified for the Elimination Chamber.
