Ayush Mhatre is an Indian cricketer who plays domestic cricket for Mumbai and plays in the IPL for Chennai Super Kings. He started playing cricket when he was five years old. When he was 15, he began focusing seriously on becoming a professional cricketer. To follow his cricket dream, he used to travel around 80 km one way by train from Virar to Churchgate near Wankhede Stadium.
At 17, he made his first-class debut for Mumbai. He scored his first first-class century in his third match of the 2024/25 Ranji Trophy season. Ayush Mhatre’s Personal Life
Ayush Mhatre is from a middle-class family in Virar. He joined Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2025 as an injury replacement for Ruturaj Gaikwad. He made his CSK debut at 17 years old against the Mumbai Indians on April 20, 2025, becoming the youngest player to debut for CSK.
His father’s name is Yogesh Mhatre. He supported Ayush throughout his journey and regularly travelled with him for matches. Ayush’s coach, Prashant Shetty, said Yogesh used to manage his work as a banker while also handling long travel for Ayush’s cricket.
