England allrounder Sam Curran also moves to Jaipur, fetched for ₹2.4 crore as part of the same negotiation.

For Samson, CSK will be a fourth franchise across 177 IPL matches, although the wicketkeeper-batter’s career has been tied largely to Rajasthan since 2013. His arrival offers Chennai not merely runs but optionality: a top-order stabiliser, a glovesman, and a leadership contender.
