Phil Brooks, aka CM Punk, is an American professional wrestler who is currently signed with the WWE. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, United States, on 26 October 1978. He started his professional wrestling career in 2005, when he joined Ohio Valley Wrestling and introduced his “Straight Edge” character. He made his debut in ECW in 2006 and quickly became one of their biggest stars, winning the ECW Championship in September 2007.
Punk became the only WWE superstar to win the Money in the Bank contract two years in a row (2008 and 2009). He also successfully cashed in the contract both times, becoming the World Heavyweight Champion twice.
