Suryakumar Yadav Dominates In T20 Mumbai 2025:- Just a couple of days after the end of the 2025 season of the Indian Premier League, Suryakumar Yadav, the MVP of the competition, is now lighting up the bowlers in the ongoing T20 Mumbai 2025 League, where he scored a half-century in his first match of the season.
SKY is the captain of the Indian T20 team and played in IPL 2025. He had a beyond impressive season in the league, his best ever. For MI, Surya scored 717 runs in 16 matches at an average of 65.17 and a strike rate of 167.91. The Indian T20 skipper has not taken a break after the end of a long two-month campaign with the Indians, as he is now playing in the T20 Mumbai 2025. Just two days after the end of the IPL and four days after his last game of the season.
Suryakumar Yadav is captaining the Triumphs Knights MNE in this eight-team competition. The Knights’ first match of the season was against the Eagle Thane Strikers on June 4 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Thane won the toss and opted to bowl first.
Suryakumar walked in to bat at No. 4 for his team. At this point, the score was 94/2 in the 12th over after opener Jigat Surendra Rana had scored a half-century. Needing to pace up the inning, the captain started dispatching the ball to the boundary rope from the start.
Despite barely any support from those around Yadav, the Triumph Knights MNE reached a score of 179/7 in 20 overs, with SKY making a solid 50 off 27 with eight 4s, one 6, and a strike rate of 185.19.

While it was a solid inning by the captain of the Indian Cricket Team in T20Is, it was not enough for his team on this day, as the Eagle Thane Strikers chased the target down with five wickets and four balls to spare. The stars of the show for them were opener Varun Lavande (57 off 38) and middle-order batter Sairaj Patil (47 off 22).
As Suryakumar Yadav is not part of the Indian squad for the five-Test series in England this summer, he will likely play the entirety of the T20 Mumbai 2025, being a massive asset and superstar in the league.
