Pretorius had not played a match since last month. His last game was against Namibia. In that match, he scored his first T20I hundred. He made 101 off 53 balls for South Africa. He has had injury problems in the past. But he has been in good form recently.

Pretorius also tied a record for the longest innings in men’s T20 cricket by balls faced. He shares that mark with Aaron Finch and Marcus Stoinis. Both are Australian. Pretorius has played in a T20 series in Australia last year.
