Oba Femi Sends Brock Lesnar a Brutal Message
Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar had a final confrontation before their Hell in a Cell match at SummerSlam. Adam Pearce announced that Femi weighed 302 pounds. Lesnar arrived with Paul Heyman but refused to enter the cell, locking the door from the outside instead.
Heyman claimed Lesnar had never lost a Hell in a Cell match and said Brock weighed 303 pounds. Lesnar told Femi he would see him at SummerSlam before walking away. Femi warned that Lesnar would be trapped inside the cell with him. After Lesnar left, Femi attacked several security officers and threw the weighing scale aside.
Alpha Academy (Akira Tozawa & Otis Dozovic) vs the Vision (Austin Theory & Bron Breakker)
The Vision defeated Alpha Academy after taking advantage of outside interference. Otis and Akira Tozawa started strongly, with Otis hitting the World’s Strongest Slam, double Stinger Splashes, and the Caterpillar. As Alpha Academy closed in on victory, Logan Paul distracted Tozawa from ringside.
Breakker then threw Otis into the ring post before tagging in. Austin Theory held Tozawa in place, allowing Bron Breakker to hit an assisted spear for the pinfall. After the match, Otis tried to save Tozawa, but Maxxine Dupri distracted him long enough for Theory and Breakker to hit a double powerbomb on the big man.
Je’Von Evans vs Rusev
Je’Von Evans upset Rusev in a hard-fought singles match. Rusev dominated early and used his power to control the action, but Evans refused to stay down. Rusev nearly won with the Machka Kick and twice locked in the Accolade, but Evans reached the ropes both times. After escaping another attack, Evans hit a Stunner to regain momentum. He then connected with the OG Cutter to pin Rusev and earn a big victory.
Ryan Garcia Smashed Guitar Over Joe Hendry’s Head
Joe Hendry held a musical performance with Danhausen during Raw. Hendry sang about Judgment Day while Danhausen joined in with an organ solo. The two then performed together as a mash-up of their entrance themes played. Dancers wearing Danhausen masks filled the ring and performed alongside them. Boxer Ryan Garcia then jumped the barricade and joined the celebration. The segment ended with Garcia grabbing a guitar and smashing it over Joe Hendry’s head, leaving him laid out in the ring.
“All Ego” Ethan Page vs. Rey Mysterio
Ethan Page defeated Rey Mysterio after stopping the WWE Hall of Famer’s comeback. Mysterio started well with his speed and high-flying offense, but Page used his strength to take control. Rey fought back after the break and nearly won with several quick attacks, including a dive to the outside. As Mysterio went for the 619, Page used the ring skirt to block the move. He then slammed Rey’s face into the ring post, pulled him back into the ring, and finished the match with the Ego-Plex for the pinfall victory.
LA Knight and Solo Sikoa Lay Out The Usos and Jacob Fatu
The Usos warned their SummerSlam opponents before being interrupted by Solo Sikoa. Solo mocked his brothers and made it clear he had no interest in rejoining Roman Reigns and the Bloodline. LA Knight then joined him, saying he only cared about getting revenge at SummerSlam.
A brawl quickly broke out, with Knight and Solo gaining the early advantage. Jacob Fatu rushed in to help The Usos before Royce Keys evened the odds. The fight continued until Solo hit the Samoan Spike, Keys landed a spinebuster on Fatu, and LA Knight finished the attack with the BFT.
Seth Rollins Stands Tall Over Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins had one final confrontation before SummerSlam. Rollins admitted he was the villain but said he had earned everything through hard work. He claimed he was a better wrestler and reminded Reigns that he had always had his number.
Roman replied that he needed to beat Rollins for himself, his family, and the entire wrestling industry. Rollins then mocked Reigns by bringing up his WrestleMania 31 cash-in and said his family would watch him lose again. Reigns attacked Rollins with punches, a Superman Punch, and a Spear, but Rollins recovered and dropped him with a Blackout onto a steel chair to end the show.
