Lucknow Super Giants pace bowler Prince Yadav bowled star batter Virat Kohli for a duck in the LSG vs RCB game in IPL 2026.
The Super Giants vs Royal Challengers game is Match 50 of the 2026 season of the Indian Premier League. The match is being played at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, and saw the away side win the toss and decide to bowl first on a batting-friendly track.
This match, especially the first innings, was marred by rain; the game was stopped at least twice due to precipitation. However, that didn’t seem to hamper LSG’s momentum.
Lucknow was dominant in the first half of the game with the bat. Despite being disturbed by the rain a couple of times, Mitchell Marsh dominated. The Aussie scored a century in 49 balls and was ultimately dismissed in the 17th over for 11 off 56.
The game was shortened to 19 overs due to the stoppage. Nicholas Pooran and Rishabh Pant provided some solid touch at the end. While Pooran, for the second game in a row, looked good with his 38 off 23, Pant caused a riot by scoring 32 off 10. The two took LSG to a solid score of 209/3 in 19 overs.
With a mountain to climb in a shortened innings and a pitch that played tougher under modified conditions, this would never be an easy one for the defending champions.
Virat Kohli Bowled By Prince Yadav
RCB started poorly, as opener Jacob Bethell was dismissed in the first over by Mohammed Shami. The Englishman, looking to score a boundary, was instead caught at deep point for four runs off five.
Then came the big wicket. Lucknow Super Giants’ in-form pacer Prince Yadav came in to bowl the second over. On the second ball of the over, he bowled a 140 kph ripper at good length. The ball, in the line of the fifth stump, nipped in after bouncing.
Kohli looked to defend the ball but was beaten by the movement as the ball went straight into the off-stump, uprooting it clean off the ground.

Not only was it a somewhat embarrassing dismissal for one of the greatest batters in the history of the sport, but also the fact that it was a second-ball duck will sting not only Kohli but also his fans and fans of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Following this wicket, the score was 9/2, and Bengaluru looked in deep trouble in this LSG vs RCB match.
